So what exactly is Salary Packaging?

Salary Packaging is a simple way of using your pre-tax salary to pay for certain expenses before your income is taxed, essentially allowing you to enjoy the benefits of paying less tax and accessing more of your income, so you can make your money go further for the things you love.

Enjoy 24/7 access to your transactional data, submit claims effortlessly, and monitor your payments at a glance—all in one convenient place.

To get started, simply download the free app from the App Store for Apple devices or Google Play for Android. Then, log in using your Paywise member portal username (email address) and password.

Get started with the Paywise Card

The Paywise Card is a convenient tap-and-pay card, available both physically and digitally, that provides instant access to your Living Expenses and Meal Entertainment benefits. With one card, you can manage both benefits seamlessly, as transactions are automatically assigned to the appropriate category.

Using the Paywise App, you can order your card, check your balance, view transaction history, and securely access your card details for online purchases at any time.

Top tips & tricks for Wellways employees

You can easily update your bank details via the Paywise App or our Member Portal. Visit the Update Your Bank Details page to learn how.

Certain personal details can be changed via the Paywise Member Portal.

To update your residential address, email address or payroll details please contact our Customer Experience team on 1300 132 532 or by emailing customerexperience@paywise.com.au.

Lodging your reimbursement claim via the Paywise App or Member Portal is quick and easy. Simply upload your claim documents and follow the steps.

Your Paywise Card can be added to your Apple Pay or Google Pay digital wallet via the Paywise App. Choose the ‘Cards’ option from the footer navigation, then select your Paywise Card and choose ‘Add to Apple Pay’ or ‘Add to Google Pay’.

Once you have added your Paywise Card to your digital wallet you will no longer need to access the App to use your card.

Capped benefits are fringe benefits that employees of certain employers are entitled to receive, up to a specific threshold (or ‘cap’) without incurring Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT). These ‘cap’ amounts are determined by the ATO and vary depending on the type of employer. For items such as mortgage, rent and living expenses, employees of eligible charities can salary package up to $15,900 per annum, and employees of public hospitals up to $9,010. Some employees are also entitled to salary package up to $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses.

Paywise and your employer highly recommend seeking independent financial advice in relation to the impact salary packaging will have for you. In most cases you can salary package the cost of the financial advice or claim back in your income tax return. Paywise is not licensed to provide you with financial advice.

Yes, this can easily be done here. You’ll need your 16-digit card number, and you’ll need to have access to the email address registered on your account.
